How I woke up from the nightmare I have had for 47 years.

Do you believe in miracles?
Most of us do not.
I did not believe in miracles either until one late afternoon I realized that despite of what I did I was still alive. I discovered myself after 25 years of struggling and suffering. I have just turned 48, but I can assure you that my life has started a year ago. Yes, first 47 years of my life I spend in the deepest and terrifying darkness.

Confession or Miracles Happen eBook Marina Polukhina

This is a story I believe many people can connect with. It talks about a long hard journey from the depths of despair to the desire
to live a full and happy life. It is not a fairy tale that everyone lives happily ever but instead a journey that gives one hope that things will get better with hard work and persistence. Bravo to Marina for such a wonderfully honest account of her troubles and
how she dug her way out!

REVIEW

Ms. Polukhina has written a book about what so many people are going through right this minute. No one talks about it and that's the problem. The author has shared her life with the reader. Her life of depression, anxiety and attempted suicide. How many of you readers out there can relate? More than you might think. The author writes about the depression and anxiety she has lived with. About how one day she just couldn't do it any more and attempted to kill herself. I'm sure it took a lot of courage to open herself up to the reader and tell of the struggling and terror of the darkness she was living in. This book isn't anywhere near a happily ever after story. It's a story of overcoming the terror and the darkness in order to become a happier individual. It's a book of HOPE. No, she doesn't paint a pretty picture where all goes well and she just emerges from the darkness into the brightness of a wonderful life. Far from it. It's the story of the author's struggles, terrors, suffering, the feeling as though there is nothing left to live for. I'm sure it wasn't an easy thing to do to write this book but I believe, as a reader, it may give another reader, the hope to carry on. To know that there are many others out there with the same terror happening to them and may have been for many years. This isn't something that just comes and then goes away.

I was given a complimentary copy of CONFESSION OR MIRACLES HAPPEN from the author, Marina Polukhina and OutSkirtsPress for my view of the book. No other compensation took place.
Personally, I admire her courage to make a confession of her life in such an easy way; Marina is a very strong person now, and I know she could win any battle.
The book has an interesting story, albeit it short. The author does not have a good grasp of proper grammar or spelling which makes it painful to read.

Kudos to her for overcoming her pain, Kudos to me for overcoming the pain of reading it. I should note that I received a copy of this book via "share" after my roommate downloaded it during a free promotion, hence the 2 stars.

UPDATE

Changing this to 1 star due to the authors paranoid personal attacks for reviewing the story.
i recieved a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review

This was a rather short book, but a good story. It had a great message and was a nice read.

I personally did not like the writting style of this book. I almost quit the book 5 pages into it because of the writting style.

In this book we meet Marina Polukhina who was suffering from depression and anxiety and one day decided she had enough and attempted suicide. This is her book. Her story.

Im glad i gave it a chance because it was a wonderful story.
This book doesn't have a lot of pages, so it can be finished pretty fast. I did enjoy the storyline of it. Being written in first person and having to read "I" in every sentence made it hard to get through. I had a really hard time with her writing style. Putting that aside, I made it to the end and found the story interesting. This story makes you realize that not everyone has the greatest life, but if you truly want to live and survive, you will do whatever it takes to make it. I also learned that depression can be a very troubling disease and if you don't have anyone to help you or if you don't get any help, it can end tragically.

I feel as though the author is very brave to tell her story. She struggled through some very trying moments and still felt that she could put it on some pages and put it out there for the whole world to see. May be her hope is for other women in her situation to realize that there is light at the end of the tunnel and you can survive no matter how hard you struggle. Pull yourself up by your boot straps and have a little faith in God and you can make it through.
The journey of a personal struggle to overcome depression and the difficulties of reaching out for help. The author was raised in a culture where it is considered weak to seek therapy. Marina provides the reader an insight into the often confusing and terrifying thoughts of hopelessness and feelings of unworthiness.
This book is a narrative of a long struggle of the author with depression. Her story is a real inspiration for all is us going through tough times - with our family, our jobs, or just every stress. The author writes in a very personal, most conversational like style, making you feel like you are talking to a close friend. The book gives hope to all nof us that miracles do happen.
